Development Update #14

The main campaign of the game already has 30 levels, but we’ve added 10 optional bonus levels! Some of them are timed challenges that require you to make an unusually high number of dishes in a short span of time, and some of them are scenarios where you have a kitchen layout already set up and you have to make some fixes. Fun! Now you have access to the ultimate mean of transportation: the brand new Teleporter! But be careful, its power usage is quite high!

Development Update #13

A completely new challenge. Now some restaurants will include a drive-thru, which means you will have to deliver those orders in the same, well… order… that they were placed. But don’t forget to take care of the dine-in customers as well! We’ve been hard at work and managed to improve the performance of the game in a significant way! Reduced draw calls, lower memory usage and less CPU load mean that Automachef runs better than ever before!

Development Update #12

Things keep getting more and more complicated over here. Now you will have to deliver food to two different types of customers at once: those who only want some take-out and those who want to eat at your restaurant! Some new exciting machines have been added to the game, including the Smart Splitter (capable of separating ingredients of different types into two conveyor belts), the Repeater (a machine to retransmit commands from a Computer or Order Reader to several other parts) and the Long Range Robotic Arm.

Development Update #11

A brand new challenge in Automachef: some levels now have a “Rush Hour”, where you will have to fulfill twice (or more!) as many orders than before. Do you think your kitchen layout is ready for something like that? With the arrival of the new Insect Infestations feature you’ll have to be very careful! If you leave food in the same place for too long it might end up covered in nasty bugs and your reputation will suffer greatly.

We’ve just added a couple of new levels set in the Humansville International Airport! Are you ready to feed all of those hungry passengers? Development Update #9

The new Liquid Ingredients feature is now ready! The very first recipe that requires the use of this new game mechanic is the Ultimate Dog, a hot-dog covered in grated cheese, ketchup and mustard. Get ready to fill your kitchen with storage tanks, pumps and pipes! In previous versions of the game you would get a game over screen as soon as you messed up. Now your restaurant has a ‘reputation’ indicator that degrades every time something bad happens, like missing a customer’s order or starting a fire. You will still lose if your reputation reaches 0%, though!

Development Update #8

In the latest build of the game we’ve added a new, low-cost alternative to fight those pesky fires: the Sprinkler. It’s cheaper than the Firefighter Robotic Arm, but it gets all ingredients in the area wet, ruining them. We’ve also added a handy panel on the right side of the screen to remind players the current level objectives. Also, if they click on the names of the dishes, they will immediately get the recipes book showing how to prepare them! Neat, isn’t it?

First of all, we’d like to apologize for the awful pun. But, now, in all seriousness, we’re thrilled to announce that the new fire game mechanic is almost ready! Leaving ingredients in the fryer or the grill for too long might cause a fire… And if you leave it unattended it will eventually spread and ruin your machines! Don’t worry! We’ve also added a new fire extinguisher robotic arm to the game, so you can get those annoying grease fires under control when they happen.

Development Update #6

A brand new game mechanic that makes everything more challenging: some raw ingredients contain dangerous bacteria that spread if you don’t follow good hygiene practices. If a customer received a meal with dangerous microorganisms in it, it’s game over! Exciting news! We’ve been working really hard and now the game has everything it needs in its code to be translated to any number of languages! We have also finished the Spanish translation in order to run some tests and all went fine, so more languages to come soon!

Now there are actual humans in this world previously populated only by machines! Aren’t they cute? A brand new machine has arrived to Automachef. This useful device will allow players to control machines in their kitchens depending on how much of a specific ingredient or dish there is somewhere else in the kitchen.
